Stability of Current Collectors Against Corrosion in APC Electrolyte for Rechargeable Mg Battery

BIU partners in collaboration with CIDETEC have published in Journal of The Electrochemical Society, the work entitled "Stability of Current Collectors Against Corrosion in APC Electrolyte for Rechargeable Mg Battery".

In this study, the corrosion behavior of different metallic current collectors in standard APC (All-Phenyl Complex) electrolyte solutions is characterized by following their electrochemical response and surface morphology changes during anodic polarization. In addition, the influence of carbon coating on the corrosive behavior of Ni metal is investigated.
